Hand Drill
Firecraft is the art of creating and sustaining a fire for the purposes of survival or
daily use. This craft is one of the oldest human skills that is quickly disappearing in
our society today. Less than a century ago, starting a fire was a daily task.
During this hands-on class you will learn how to build and use a Hand Drill set, a
primitive friction fire technique, sourcing local natural materials, and blow your
created ember into a blaze!

This Class Will Cover
Making your own hand drill set from a locally sourced material (horse weed)
Friction Fire Techniques using your own (made in class) Hand Drill
Finding Natural Fire Starting Materials
There will be a $10 charge for supplied materials for this class
